Providers of education, research, and community service, and the development of science, technology, art and culture (IPTEKSBUD) in the field of architecture based on the Indonesian maritime continent that is superior and leading in the Southeast Asian region.

MISION
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE

  1. Educating students to become prospective architects who understand their profession who always maintain a commitment to the development of Tropical Architecture of the Nusantara Archipelago.
  2. Improve the quality of graduates who are ready to develop into members of the intellectual community who are able to achieve the highest degree of science.
  3. Producing graduates who have the soul and potential for independence.
  4. Improve the quality of education, research and service to the community in the field of architecture
  5. Increase the quantity and quality of architectural laboratory facilities.

PURPOSE
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE

General Purpose :

    1. Academic Staff (Lecturers) :

  • Preparing academic staff (teachers / researchers) in the field of Architecture who are capable with S2 and S3 qualifications.
  • Prepare, implement, disseminate research results into scientific publications in the form of reference books (textbooks) and / or articles both locally, nationally, and internationally.

    2. Students (Students) :

  • Preparing students to become graduates who are capable in the academic and / or professional fields who master the basics of science and practice.
  • Preparing graduates who are able to create “Nuances of the Tropical Islands of the Archipelago” in the development and implementation of Architecture disciplines.
  • Create, implement, and develop innovations in science and technology

   3. Education Management and Supporting Facilities :

  • Fostering, developing, and evaluating the Curriculum on an ongoing basis.
  • Fostering, developing, and evaluating monitoring and evaluation systems for teaching and learning process (PBM) activities.
  • Compile databases and academic information systems.
  • Prepare research laboratory facilities, drawing studios, and model workshops along with ready-to-use and reliable equipment.

Special Purpose :

Producing “architecture graduates who are ready to be developed into professionals who are able to think, behave, and be skilled in acting in the field of architectural design” which is described as follows:

  1. Able to work in the field of architecture in local and global contexts.
  2. Able to work using the principles of science and technology with environmental insight and national culture of the archipelago.
  3. Able to reason (analyze and synthesize) and formulate problem solving in the form of concepts that can be further developed in architectural design and construction implementation.
  4. Able to work independently or in groups.
